I = I Am Sam
I'm not a big movie fan but I could watch this one over and over again.
It came out during my Senior year of high school, when I was a T.A. for Zac's class. All of the kids in the class meant so much to me and I suppose my feelings were right at the surface because I started crying in the opening scene and never stopped.
The movie isn't the only great thing. The soundtrack is made up of Beatles music, performed by modern artists. Total foot tapper. Also a great companion in an hour of traffic.

Grateful for...H²
H = Happiness
H = Hard Working Husband
LaVor has always said he'll do whatever he has to in order to provide for The Lime and me. And he means it.
He takes work calls at all hours of the day and night, our weekends have been interrupted because a machine needs his magic touch, he travels to foreign lands (and I'm not talking about Saudi Arabia...it's a place called Fresno), he works in every type of weather element the Bay Area has to offer, he smashes body parts with tools, and he gets diesel fluid in his face.
All for his little family.

Grateful for...G

| George & The Woman in the Yellow Hat |
G = George
The Lime's favorite character is Curious George. All of the Curious George Halloween costumes out there were cheap looking and a bit scary. When I got an e-mail from Old Navy, letting me know that their costumes were on sale, I jumped on it and found this cute monkey.
George is one of The Lime's best pals. Although, his pronunciation of George sounds more like Jew.
While watching George this morning, I learned that there will be a meet and greet at a local mall in a few weeks. I can't wait to take The Lime! Just keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't go bananas on George.

Grateful for...F
F = Flat Iron
I'm sure I torture my hair every time I slide it through those screaming hot plates. But the outcome is so much more appealing than if I didn't iron it.
I have naturally straight hair but it has a touch of frizz to it. My trusty Remington gives me that "nice and smooth" (as my co-worker told me yesterday) look that I couldn't get any other way.
So, bless you flat iron, for making me look cute before I step outside each day.

Grateful for...E
E = Example
"And he has his son in the car! Great example, dude!"
That's what I said after this happened...
I had just pulled out of my parking spot at the Dollar Tree and was stopped, waiting to make a left turn to exit the parking lot. I looked both ways and the coast was clear so I started to go. Then, out of nowhere, comes this black Trans-Am, that was going WAY too fast. Apparently, he needed to leave the shopping center before I did.
While waiting at the stop sign, a man on his bike came along on our left side. The man in the Trans-Am had pulled up too far and was blocking the sidewalk. The man on his bike stopped RIGHT next to the car, almost touching it, and waited until the car went.
Except the car didn't go.
Thejerk driver proceeded to get out of his car and make sure the tire of the bike wasn't touching his car. I couldn't hear anything but by their actions, the man on the bike was annoyed and so was the jerk driver. In my car, I said (outloud), "Are you kidding me?!" Meanwhile, a line of cars is piling up behind me, while the jerk driver gives the bike rider a hard time. Then what does the jerk driver do? Pulls out his cell phone. Oooohhh...intimidating!
Thejerk driver got back in his car while the bike rider tried to go around the front of the car. Oh no...the jerk driver pulled up and almost hit the bike rider, not allowing him to pass. Then the bike rider goes around the back of the car. We both looked at each other, shaking our heads in regards to the lameness of the jerk driver.
The Trans-Am and I both made a left hand turn and were next to each other at the stop light. As he pulled away, I looked over and gave him a glare. That's when I noticed his teenage son was in the car.
Hence why I made the comment above.
I'm grateful my parents were a good example to me. Well...my dad never got out of the car to yell at anyone but my mom did.
It was a truck driver that was riding her tail on the freeway. She followed him to his stop and proceeded to yell at him, that she had a child in the car and he was putting us in danger.
Just protecting her young, like any mother would do.
So for that reason, I'm grateful for her example.

Grateful for...D
D = Dental floss
I had an apple and popcorn for lunch the other day, which means I had a ton of food stuck in my teeth.
Before I went back to my desk, I whipped out my trusty dental floss (pictured above) and got every last particle out of my mouth.
BEST.FEELING.IN.THE.WORLD!
Seriously! When you have something stuck in your teeth and you get it out...ahhhhhh! Amazing.
My hygienist/co-worker introduced me to this dental floss and I will never use anything else ever again.
It doesn't shred, it's as strong as can be (in fact, it popped my lower wire off), and you can re-use it if you have to (although I don't)!
Google it...you'll find yourself a coupon. And then you'll be converted too.

Grateful for...C
C = Claire
This sweetie pie wakes up at 6:30, every Friday, to keep an eye on The Lime until my sister gets home from exercising. She even gets up on days when she doesn't have school, which in my book, has gotta score some extra brownie points.
The Lime freaks out when I leave and she tries her hardest to keep him occupied and distracted so I can slip out the door. She's going to be a great mom someday.
Claire is caring, funny, smart, forgiving, helpful, talented, gentle, feisty. The list could go on and on.
She's our YaYa and we love her.
