Tally Mark 5

-He rolls ALL over the place. The most used phrase in our house? "How'd you get there?!"
-His legs are starting to get chunky and he's got bustees (what my parents used to call baby boobs).
-He's licked a plain ice cream cone, Cheez-It, apple, nectarine and...french fry (without Mommy's permission) but is still only drinking milk.
-If you put it in front of his mouth, he'll try to eat it, no matter what.
-His new favorite toy? Our unused remote control.
-He sleeps on his stomach.
-He went through a funk at about 4.5 months where he didn't want to go to sleep until after midnight. Thankfully he's back to our sweet Lime.
-He still spits up like it's going out of style.
-We swear he said "Mama" last week.
-He pees during the first 30 seconds of his bath...every time.

♥ He's our #1 HUNK and is the best thing that has happened to our little family ♥

I can't post any pictures of this idea, since I came across it while blogstalking and I don't want to get caught!

But I do need to say, "Oh my goodness!" The cutest idea for a 1st birthday...well, ANY birthday, EVER!

I don't want the Lime to grow up at all but after seeing this idea, I can't wait for birthdays!

Separated At Birth

Does anyone else notice a resemblance between these two?

Coincidence?

While on our East coast trip last summer, we wanted to try and go to as many baseball games as we could.

The Phillies were in town on July 4th, which worked out perfectly with our schedule.
We had a family sitting in front of us; mom, dad, little girl, little boy. The dad resembled Mark Wahlberg, according to LaVor.

The parents were both drinking, not excessively, but a few beers. The dad in particular, was drinking Bud Light Lime.

Looks good, huh? I'm attracted to fruity drinks, minus the beer, and apparently so was the son. He kept trying to take the bottle from the dad and just get a lick, not even a drink. Nope, the dad wouldn't allow it.

Unlike our situation, another Phillies dad supposedly let his son take a drink.

Something must be in the air at Citizens Bank Park that makes kids want to take a swig.

It Surprised Me Too!

In no way are we ready for another child. Give us a few years.

But surprisingly, I miss my belly. I miss feeling the kiddo kick, I miss not being able to tie my shoes, I miss looking down and seeing movement, I miss scooting away from my desk and someone saying, "whoa!", I miss my cute pair of maternity jeans.

I don't miss feeling my belly rest on my thighs...that was gross, I don't miss the feeling of coming home and instantly lifting my shirt off my belly and scratching the snot out of it, I don't miss the constant "I'm going to explode because there's no room for my food" feeling.

Honk Honk! Beep Beep!

Our goal for this weeks walk was 15 miles. It ended up being 16.6.

On my way to work last week, I realized from my sister's house to a certain point was roughly 8 miles. "Perfect! That'll be our walk for this week," I thought.

We're both about halfway to our required $1800 goal in order to participate in the walk. I decided to make a sign that said, "Donate $1.00 to fight breast cancer" and carry it on our trek. It took less than an hour for the donations to roll in. Our first $3 were donated by a man and woman, that looked like they didn't have very much. One woman at the end of the walk apologized for not having $1.00 but gave us the 30 cents she had in her pocket. 3 people donated $5, some even pulled over and stopped their car in order to donate. One man got out of his Jeep and said, "Finally! A cause I'm willing to support!" He had tears in his eyes as he handed us his $1. As he drove away, he honked and waved. Several people honked; mostly guys :oP

We ended up earning almost $30.00 and wondered why we didn't make a sign 2 months ago! Not only did we earn money but we called the cops on a drunk woman, passed a gorilla that just so happened to have a banana as a snack and found out that Sonic doesn't have indoor seating.

Both of us now have sunburned legs and necks but we're that much closer to our goals.
