"And he has his son in the car! Great example, dude!"
That's what I said after this happened...
I had just pulled out of my parking spot at the Dollar Tree and was stopped, waiting to make a left turn to exit the parking lot. I looked both ways and the coast was clear so I started to go. Then, out of nowhere, comes this black Trans-Am, that was going WAY too fast. Apparently, he needed to leave the shopping center before I did.
 |
| The car resembled this ugly thing. |
While waiting at the stop sign, a man on his bike came along on our left side. The man in the Trans-Am had pulled up too far and was blocking the sidewalk. The man on his bike stopped RIGHT next to the car, almost touching it, and waited until the car went.
Except the car didn't go.
The
jerk driver proceeded to get out of his car and make sure the tire of the bike wasn't touching his car. I couldn't hear anything but by their actions, the man on the bike was annoyed and so was the
jerk driver. In my car, I said (outloud), "Are you kidding me?!" Meanwhile, a line of cars is piling up behind me, while the
jerk driver gives the bike rider a hard time. Then what does the
jerk driver do? Pulls out his cell phone. Oooohhh...intimidating!
The
jerk driver got back in his car while the bike rider tried to go around the front of the car. Oh no...the
jerk driver pulled up and almost hit the bike rider, not allowing him to pass. Then the bike rider goes around the back of the car. We both looked at each other, shaking our heads in regards to the lameness of the
jerk driver.
The Trans-Am and I both made a left hand turn and were next to each other at the stop light. As he pulled away, I looked over and gave him a glare. That's when I noticed his teenage son was in the car.
Hence why I made the comment above.
I'm grateful my parents were a good example to me. Well...my dad never got out of the car to yell at anyone but my mom did.
It was a truck driver that was riding her tail on the freeway. She followed him to his stop and proceeded to yell at him, that she had a child in the car and he was putting us in danger.
Just protecting her young, like any mother would do.
So for that reason, I'm grateful for her example.
