A Weekend Of Firsts
We had the opportunity to head up to LaVor's grandparent's cabin and enjoy some much needed time away. My parents were able to join us and we had a great time! Minus The Lime continuing this "not wanting to go to sleep when everyone else does" phase.

Playing With Words
fChef Steve, one of my instructors at school, once described a dessert as being sexy. I thought that was weird.
When I made my sister's wedding cake, the two things she wanted were shells and ganache. I remember finishing the ganache and texting her the word, "luxurious!"
It is quite luxurious, don't you think? The shine, the velvety smooth texture, the melt in your mouth consistency. Who knew chocolate, cream and a dash of vanilla could be so sexy?

This One's For You
Dear Lime,
You had a hard night last night. Not sure what was going on, especially since Mommy's Magic Milk didn't even seem to do the trick. But I'm glad you picked a night where Mommy didn't have to go to work the next day.
You didn't know I did it but after hearing you cry and cry and cry (hoping you'd give in and just fall asleep), I told the monitor to shut up. It was loud and I was tired. I'm sorry.
I couldn't resist but to take a few pictures of you this morning, as you were being awfully cute and smiley.
Your smiles make Mommy & Daddy so happy. In fact, even when you don't smile, you make us happy.
Thank you for being our sweet boy.
Love,
Mama

Tally Mark 4

-He now rolls from back to stomach but hates being on his stomach. Then why roll over?
-He is a drool machine.
-He doesn't keep his hands in a fist 24/7.
-He is starting to grab for things.
-The Doctor thinks he'll be walking at 10 months...ugh!
-We think he'll like swimming as he loves to kick in the bath.
-If he's being held & standing, he'll put one foot in front of the other.
-He got his first ingrown toenail.
-He eventually got used to the antibiotics.
-He constantly keeps us entertained & smiling.

If You're Going To San Francisco
No flowers were put in our hair last night but boy did we enjoy some pizza!
Back in October, LaVor and I visited Tony's Pizza Napoletana in North Beach (Same owner of Pyzano's Pizzeria. Google it. If you watch Food Network, you've heard of 'em). We got 2 pizzas (6 slices each) and went home with only 2 slices. It was delicious!
LaVor's brother and his wife are in town and went to the Giants game yesterday. We met up with them & their parents afterwards for a bite to eat @ Tony's.
The fog was moving in and it was getting windy and cold but to forego the long wait, we opted to sit outside. It ended up being okay since there were heaters and we all had jackets. Even The Lime.
We were all starving so we ordered the meatballs, green beans and a salad for appetizers. And for the pizzas...we went with the Margherita, Prosciutto e Pomodorini, and Frank’s True Italian. I didn't get the chance to look at the menu and was a bit hesitant about Frank's since the Frank's at Gay 90's is meat, meat and more meat. But when they brought it out and I saw all the cheese and the pesto sauce, I knew it would be amazing. And it was!
While walking back to the parking garage, everyone minus The Lime froze their buns off. I don't know how this tiny thing managed to stay so warm but he was toasty from head to toe.
On our way out, we caught the fog eating the Transamerica building.
